General Information About Tartan Cloth
We are grateful to The House of Bruar for supporting the production of our first bale of Commando Heritage No.1 tartan cloth. This was produced as a 16oz Heavy Weight cloth which is primarily chosen as the best material for the making of traditional kilts.
16oz Heavy Weight
The heavy weight material provides the best shape and flow of the traditional 8-yard kilt as preferred by Scottish regiments. We currently have in stock sufficient material for 7 kilts.

13oz Medium Weight
The medium weight cloth is the most popular for the manufacture of trews. These high wasted trousers are produced in the traditional regimental style and perfect for military 'Mess Dress' or civilian Dinner Jacket/Black Tie events. The design is strictly selected by the ICHT to ensure the regimental finish and quality of the final product.
Additionally the medium weight cloth is very good for waistcoats and may be used for kilts.

10oz Light Weight
The light weight material is perfect for Ladies skirts, ties, and accessories. The iCHT will be working closely with the production team at Lochcarron to develop a range of suitable products in the coming weeks and months.

Additional Products
Lochcarron's Waverley Mill have a global reputation for weaving of high quality woollen products. It is expected that the Commando Heritage Range will soon include such other items as may be popular; scarves, blankets, shawls, throws, etc.

In the coming months we will be asking YOU to let us know the type of pollen/trartan products that would interest you. We are currently working on bespoke products for an overseas regimental member and look forward to publish8in that information when we have satisfied the enquiry.
