The typically chnageable West Highland weather was unable to dampen or cool the enthusiasm, revelerie and fabulous camaraderie that was shared between our French visitors and the ICHT team. Following a short respectful service at the Commando Memorial, the dulcet tones of the French Commando song rank across Glen Spean.

OPnce more Ed Wilosn, impressed all in attendance with the brief introduction to Achnacarry and its WW2 role as the Commando Basic Traiing Centre. A concise presentation of the range of Fairburn & Sykes Fighting knives was all the more poignant at the top of the castle terrace steps, where the relevant skills were pracitsed.

The combined group retired to Loch Onich, where the visitors kindly and very warmly hosted lunch for the ICHT team. It was an experience that confirmed, were confirmation necessary, that the brotherhood of commandos through all generations, creates instant rapport between erstwhile strangers!

We look forward to the return of our French brothers in the near future.

UNITED WE CONQUER!
