21ST JUNE 2025 - PUBLIC LAUNCH OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMANDO HERITAGE TRUST (SCIO)

A full one day programme commenced at 1030 hours on Saturday 21st June 2025, when political, diplomatic and military representatives from UK and various Allied Nations gathered at the Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge. A short service of rembrance and respect was led by Rev Russel Fralik the padre of 43 Commando (FPG) RM, based at Faslane.

A section of Royal Marines joined the proceedings, while conducting a symbollic 'speed march' from Spoean Bridge rail station to the gates of Achnacarry - a tribute to the first test of a commando recruit on arrival from 1942 - 1946!
